Christians:Are there any sectors who worshipped Mary as a God?if yes, when?

Diversity Day at Viroqua High School in Viroqua, WI has been cancelled due to disputes over which groups should be included. The liberal media is reporting that the school was under pressure from the community to exclude homosexuals so they cancelled the event: Here is what is really going on.

Diversity Day at the high school was not cancelled due to complaints about the inclusion of homosexuals. It was cancelled because the school did not want to include the viewpoints of Christians (they welcomed Hindu, Buddist, and muslim speakers) and former homosexuals (while including homosexuals).

They were going to exclude these two groups and a local resident contacted the Liberty Counsel (A law firm specializing in religious freedoms). The Liberty Counsel explained the laws that required them to include the viewpoints of the excluded groups. The school canceled their Diversity Day because they did not want Christian and former homosexual viewpoints expressed on their campus.
This is not an issue of seperation of church and state since the school was going to allow speakers representing non-christian religions.
it does not matter that Christians are not a minority. They still can’t legally be excluded.

The KKK is not a good comparison to Christianity, because Christians do not promote violence or racism. If they were excluding Al Queida than it would be. Give me an example of another religious group they should exclude and that would be relevant.
I got my info direct from the Liberty Council and they would be happy to send you the details. Check them out yourself.
The leftist media hates the Liberty Council because they keep winning cases against the ACLU.

The media is supposed to report stories as they happened. That means they have to research what the school says before they print it. They have to look at all sides of the story and not just one.
My agenda is to get out the truth.

So, being a “far right christian organization” automatically means that they are not a dependable source? That is a very exclusive view of things.

True, the liberty council has never actually participated in suing the ACLU. What I should have said is that they have repeatedly won cases against ACLU appointed and funded attorneys.

As for the friendship with Jerry Falwell, who lawyers of the liberty council are friends with, regardless of their placing in the firm, has no bearing on the dependability of their information.

Try again.
I have actually contacted the high school on this issue. They referred me to the district office who referred me to the superintendent. The superintendent is in a meeting right now, but I got his direct number and will be contacting him again. They said he would be out of his meeting at about 1:30 CT today. I’ll update you on what I find out.
Check it out yourself
David Johnston
District Administrator at Viroqua Area Schools keeps dodging my calls. Suprise. Suprise.
they already know what the homosexuals have to say too. That is not the point

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee by school Principal Jody McLoud, on September 1, 2000. I thought it was worth sharing with the world, and hope you will forward it to all your friends. It clearly shows just how far this country has gone in the wrong direction.

It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and Country.
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law.

As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate lifestyle, and if someone is offended, that’s OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that’s OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control. If someone is offended, it’s no problem.

I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, mother earth, and call it ecology.

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional, Christian convictions as simple minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment.

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone except God and His Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules that they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and refrain from praying at this time. However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God, and ask Him in the name of Jesus to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that’s not against the law — yet.

AND . . . one by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another, and began to pray. They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They pray at the concession stand. And they prayed in the announcer’s box. The only place they didn’t pray was in the Supreme Court of the United State’s of America – the seat of “justice” in the one nation under God.
Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee, remembered what so many have forgotten . . . we are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion.

Praise God that His remnant remains!

Brand means nothing at WM so don’t say match number 3, 4, 6, and 8 can’t happen. The main event is the actual planned match for WM 27 according to rumors at WWE Universe forum.

i have to do this project but i don’t understand what it means. IM NOT ASKING YOU TO DO IT FOR ME, please don’t get that idea, i just need someone to explain it in better terms. this is what it says:

The purpose of the project is to understand the function of the novel, Things Fall Apart, as a proverb to clarify and explain the historical events of European colonization of Africa at the end of the 19th century. The objective of this project is to define proverb and to perceive the novel as an example of such. In addition, the student will gain knowledge in the efforts of Europeans to establish Africa as a dependent, Christian colony and will understand the novel as documentation of and insight to the effects of these efforts on African culture and beliefs.

now im supposed to explain how all of that effected the Igbo tribe, but how am i supposed to write about how it effected the tribe when i don’t even know what “IT” is! someone help?

Ok…so I am a Christian and lately I have been hearing a lot about how the world is supposedly going to end in 2012. There was even a damn movie preview called “2012” that comes out next year (Good job at getting the American public worried). Well, doesn’t the Bible state how no one knows when the world is going to end except for God? Also, don’t certain events need to occur before Jesus comes back to earth? I am not too familiar with the book of Revelations, so anyone that could let me know would be great. I just don’t understand how the Mayans, who aren’t even Christians, can predict that last day of the world. I am not afraid to go to Heaven, but I am only a college student and have so many goals in my life that I want to accomplish before that day comes.

Please only respond with intelligent answers and don’t be bashing the Bible either. Thanks!
Wow when I say for intelligent responses only…that requires an IQ and knowing what the word “intelligence” means. Yes, I am a college student (not some little HS or grade school kid) who happens to have OCD…so sorry if my disorder makes me worry so much about this issue. And in my question, I mention that the Mayans ARE NOT Christians, hence why I am wondering why everyone is making such a big deal about their calendar when their religion is meaningless. The main reason why I prompted this question is because when I went to see Quantum of Solace over the weekend, there was a movie preview for the upcoming film “2012” and for the audience to google it…nice.

i think he does cd’s & dvds. n he talks about his strugle with god. ______ pickle?

any help?

My mind does not go straight to race when I think about my culture. I automatically think about being from “the South”. A place where women are expected act like ladies/the typical southern belle. My mind then jumps to my religion and then straight to my denomination, “Southern Baptist” (now that I am older, I just claim Christian instead of Southern Baptist). Honestly, when I think about my culture, I have mixed feelings. I am proud to be from the south however, I am not so proud of our racist past and/or present. Growing up in a Southern Baptist church, I was taught that you did not date black people because, “God said so”. When I was faced with the dilemma in my teens, I told the guy I would not date him “because God said so” and he laughed in my face. Until then, I had no reason to question everything I had been taught. I began a journey for the truth and I learned that there were three common answers among the many trust worthy adults (from five different Baptist churches). There was: A – Yes, but I do not know where it is at, B – No, it’s not, and C – I don’t know. Finally, I found the answer I was looking for from Brother Shane Duke. Brother Shane knew the Bible from cover to cover, and he was someone that I could trust. I keep bringing up the issue of trust because I would have been looked down upon in my town if everyone knew I was trying to date a “black guy”. I questioned Brother Shane after a youth night at a neighboring church. His answer? Numbers Chapter 12. It told about how Miriam and Aaron picked on their brother, Moses, for having an Ethiopian wife. Eventually, God punishes Miriam with leprosy to set an example. I felt triumphant, but then he followed it with, “Honor thy Mother and Father”, and I was immediately knocked off of my high horse. It is amazing how every aspect of someone’s culture shapes who they are as a person.
“It is rare that any two classroom teachers or education scholars have the same definition for multicultural education.”(Gorski, 1995-2008). The teacher’s own culture is going to influence how they perceive and teach the subject of multicultural education. Therefore, a teacher must be knowledgeable of many cultures other than their own. How are you supposed to teach something that you are ignorant of? A high-quality multicultural education curriculum should be accurate and complete. Also, the lesson should be sure to include a wide variety of cultures.
“Every student must have an equal opportunity to achieve to her or his full potential” (Gorski, 1995-2008), and as a teacher I have a responsibility to help that student attain that goal. To help them I must understand how my biases, opinions, and prejudices affect the quality of education I give to each student. I also have to make the effort to eliminate the biases, opinions, and prejudices that will occur in my classroom and my everyday life. Multicultural education has become a necessity in our society because of the vast array of cultures that now call the United States home. So, we must attempt to prepare our students for the ever-changing, progressively integrated society of America. I would hate to think that a student created a bias against a certain group of people because of events that I allowed in my classroom. Now, a teacher cannot prevent biases from being formed in the student’s home, but a teacher can prevent biases from forming in a classroom.
A major belief that I have is that all students should have a positive learning environment. A way to make a student feel positive is to make them feel important. That is why the individual cultural experiences of each student are important to everyone in the classroom. The student who is sharing their story feels important and the other students listening feel closer to that classmate. Of course, I will have to also share my cultural experiences with my students. Student-centered pedagogy makes learning more personal and I believe that learning comes alive when the students have a personal connection with the lesson. Hopefully, my students will learn just how multicultural the world around them is.
Please no negative comments if you disagree w/ what I wrote. I would just like another brain to help me see if it flows well. Thanks!

Steph refused Burke a Match last week and at No Mercy, Burke then accused Steph of being too involved with a certain Superstar, Steph still undecided on what to do then Rey Mysterio comes back to her office, Burke asks Rey to leave as he is having a private conversation. Steph then says Burke that only she has the right to remove people from her office and reminds him of her position.
